Vacuum Cleaners: Bagged or Bagless? That’s the question. Since bagless vacuums came on the scene decades ago we’ve had this debate. The bottom line? It really comes down to your own personal preference.
I’ll give you my opinion and preference:
A vacuum bag is generally easier and cleaner to handle and dispose of. I like that. And “bagged” vacuums tend not to clog as often as “bagless” vacuums. Why? Because bagless vacuums have filters that need to be cleaned, maintained AND replaced every so often. Some of us aren’t good at that. We tend to use the vacuum then put it back in the closet. With a bagged vacuum you can usually tell when the bag is full and you change it quick and easy. Yes, there is a cost but I can justify that. The question is, can you?
Now I’ll to give you my understanding of the opposing view:
Number One! You don’t have to buy bags. OK, I get that. And if you don’t mind playing with your dirt, it’s fairly easy to empty the dirt container. Yup, I get that also. (I wouldn’t do this in my house because I may have to vacuum all over again. Sorry, I’m drifting back to why I like bagged vacuums…) Let’s continue… It’s generally easy to wash the filters (the washable ones that is…) So, if you want to save a few bucks, empty the dirt cup yourself and maintain your filters, a bagless vacuum might just be the one for you.
Final thought:
We sell both types of vacuums. Bagged and bagless. We don’t judge. (Well, I may give an opinion from time to time…) We want you to be as happy as you can be while vacuuming and maintaining your vacuum. We value your opinion and hope you give us the opportunity to work with you to get the right vacuum for your needs and preferences.
